The CMSP Governing Board is pleased to announce the release of the Local Indigent Care Needs Program (LICN Program) Request for Proposals (RFP). This program aims to expand the delivery of locally directed indigent care services for low-income uninsured and under-insured adults that lack access to health, behavioral health, and associated support services in CMSP counties.

The LICN RFP, required documents, and resources may be found at:  https://www.cmspcounties.org/local-indigent-care-needs/

Eligible applicants include county agencies and nonprofits from the following 16 CMSP counties that have not already received LICN funding: Alpine, Amador, Calaveras, El Dorado, Imperial, Kings, Lake, Lassen, Mendocino, Modoc, Napa, Plumas, San Benito, Sierra, Siskiyou, and Tehama.

Grant funding from the LICN program is available in two separate program tracks; Planning Project Grants (Track One) of up to $50,000 per project over a twelve-month period, or up to $75,000 if the project serves more than one CMSP county, and Implementation Program Grants (Track Two) of up to $500,000 per year up to a 3-year period (up to $1,500,000 total). Applications are due September 30, 2021, at 3:00 PM PST.
