The CMSP Governing Board will hold two public hearings – on September 18, 2026 and October 5, 2026 – in Sacramento, California, on proposed program changes that will result in the suspension of the Governing Board’s Connect to Care program; modification and elimination of eligibility for County Medical Services Program (CMSP) services for certain individuals; elimination and reduction of certain health care benefits currently provided by CMSP; and consideration of all evidence and testimony for or against the approval and adoption of the proposed program, eligibility, and benefit changes.

The proposed reductions to CMSP and elimination of Connect to Care are necessitated by the passage of HR1 and the resulting expected influx of individuals eligible for CMSP.

For a description of the proposed changes, read the Public Hearing Notice here.
